My husband and I had the pleasure to eat at Passion Fin Asian Bistro & Sushi in the new Goose Creek Village community located in Ashburn on their grand opening weekend. Being sushi lovers, we decided to try a few of their sushi dishes along with some of their Asian appetizers. For an appetizer, they brought us the Phoenix Tartar on the house, which was absolutely delicious, with shrimp on top of a spicy lobster salad, avocado and a perfect addition of fresh oranges. The flavors really complemented beautifully and the presentation was impressive and artistically well done. Their Passion Roll, which is one of their special rolls, was also really good with deep fried salmon inside and tuna, avocado, spicy mayo, and massago as the top garnish. The fish was wonderful, and the selection of the rolls are very creative. My husband having spent several months in Asia also wanted to try out their dumplings to give him a good sense of how authentic the place is. He thought that their Gyoza dumplings were actually pretty good, but he still has yet to find dumplings as good as those he experienced along the Silk Road!
If you are looking to try out a sample of their sushi menu, try one of the large sushi combo platters, which come on a large boat full of amazing sushi combinations. In addition to their sushi menu, Passion Fin serves a full menu of teriyaki and hibachi specials, noodle and curry dishes, and a fully stocked bar with a large selection of sake, exotic cocktails, and martinis to complete any meal.
Customer service was exceptional. Our server was very friendly and polite. Overall, we thought the food had great flavors and was beautifully presented, showing a true commitment to quality. The quality of the sushi was very fresh with a generous amount of fish, high quality ingredients, and the perfect amount of rice. If you're looking for a relaxing and welcoming place to eat with great hospitality and good Japanese and Thai cuisine, this is the place! We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
