Grand Opening of the Leesburg Saturday Summer Farmers Market

2013-05-04-10.jpg

The Leesburg Saturday Summer Farmers Market opened for the 2013 season this past Saturday, May 4th.  The market is located at the Virginia Village Shopping Center on Catoctin Circle, SE and is open during the summer through October 26th from 8 a.m. until Noon every Saturday.

Going to farmers markets on the weekends has been a childhood favorite pastime of mine and I hope that our kids grow to appreciate the experience.  We just love farmers markets with all the fresh produce, meats and cheeses from local farms and food artisans.  What we love most is getting to know our neighbors - the people that grow and prepare the food in Loudoun County.  It is a real pleasure to support these local sellers and farmers, knowing that they take great care in providing high quality produce that not only is fresher but tastes better.  Come help support our local farm families and vendors in Loudoun County! Shopping here helps preserve farmland, strengthen the community and the local economy.

If you plan to stop by every merchant, we suggest you go there early and spend a few hours there.  Here are a few of the local vendors we were able to check out.  We will be back to check out more in coming weeks!
