Food Photography Master Course

A few Sundays ago, we joined other food photographers and food bloggers at the Iron Gate Restaurant for the Food Photography Master Course held by Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture.  We spent a few hours learning from photographer and sustainable farmer Molly Peterson.  Molly is the contributor to the Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture's Mobile Market Seasonal Cookbook and the 804ork Cookbook.  Here are some of the pictures we took. First Course:

  • winter citrus salad, torn spearmint, Geata olive & organic olive oil
  • winter root vegetable salad, Chapel's Country Bay Blue cheese
  • savory hearth baked crackers and sourdough with three dips:  parsley, beet & walnut, kohlrabi tzatziki
  • toasted sourdough with house made "Nutella" & last season's preserves

Second Course:

  • pickled egg salad, house foccaia, spicy "bagna cauda" & dressed herb salad
  • grilled Virginia rockfish, braised gigante beans, baby kale & spiced tomato broth
  • baked hen eggs, beef and pork meatballs, tomato & burrata cheese 

Dessert:

  • crispy phyllo wrapped custard with powdered sugar
  • greek doughtnuts with orange blossom syrup
