The Holland House - a steward of history and character

A few months back, we drove down to the Holland House in historic Old Town Alexandria for another high-end real estate photo shoot.   This historic property located at 822 Wolfe Street in Alexandria, VA has a long and storied history.  First built in the 1750s, the Holland House went through a number of renovations back in 1820, 1930 and recently in 2010.  This extraordinary home has just about everything from modern conveniences like radiant heated floors, ceiling mounted bathtub filler, custom accents, and entertainment systems to a historic bronze statue of Thomas Jefferson, beautiful antiques and a signed Steinway piano in the Gathering Room.

Thanks to Kira Elvey Lopez of Sotheby's International and the owners of the property for trusting us with this assignment.  We were absolutely thrilled with this project in every way.  We've had the opportunity to do what we love - capturing the beauty and character of its interior to making its exterior shine through our twilight photography.  It was so great to be part of this project, and we're really looking forward to more high-end real estate shoots like this.  Our images were spotlighted on Sotheby's International extraordinary properties 4/28/14-5/4/14.
